Mr. Samuel Ishako is a dedicated professional with a passion for children's welfare and a strong background in Finance and Management. His journey is marked by a commitment to improving the lives of underprivileged children and promoting their access to healthcare and education. Mr. Ishako embarked on his career as a Grant Manager when he joined the Petronille Healthy Society team in June 2018. With a Bachelor's degree in Finance Management from the University Libre of Kinshasa, he brought valuable financial expertise to the organization.
He is currently pursuing a Master's program in Accounting Information Systems and Cyber Security at the University of Maryland Global Campus, showcasing his dedication to continuous learning and personal growth. Simultaneously, Mr. Ishako has been contributing to the healthcare sector as he works at Children's National Hospital in Washington, DC.
Before his tenure with Petronille Healthy Society, Mr. Ishako gained experience as a bank manager at the Bank International of Credit in Kinshasa. His financial acumen was further honed during this period. His professional journey took a meaningful turn when he joined European Adoptions Consulting as Assistant Director.
In this role, he assisted American parents seeking to adopt and sponsor Congolese children in Kinshasa, Democratic Republic of Congo. Mr. Ishako's responsibilities included managing organization operations, facilitating communication between children living in orphanages and adoptive parents, and serving as a liaison for budgeting between the local and international offices.
Beyond his professional roles, Mr. Ishako has been an active volunteer in various community and educational initiatives. He dedicates his time to Habitat for Humanity, a local shelter for the homeless, and leads children with special needs at his local church, imparting valuable life lessons and morality. In 2018, he volunteered as a teacher's assistant at Carlos Rosario International Public Charter School in Washington, DC, further underlining his commitment to education and community development.
Within the Petronille Healthy Society, Mr. Samuel Ishako holds a multifaceted role. He is responsible for enhancing the organization's visibility in the media and fostering connections with other organizations. Moreover, he plays a pivotal role in conceiving development projects for the organization's future, particularly focusing on children's well-being. Additionally, Mr. Ishako is instrumental in developing the capacities required to carry out essential operations related to the grant program, ensuring that the organization's mission is carried out effectively.
